I only have a lousy pic of the purple one on my Flickr site and Yahoo won't let me paste a link. It's under Cari46 if you want to look. I'm mostly running off notes scribbled on whatever's in front of me or what manages to stick in my one brain cell, all my good pictures, manuals, information I've gathered, etc. is being held hostage on the old computers' hard drive. New computer says I'm not authorized to open any files or folders. Someone smarter than me will have to figure it out.

"Someone smarter than me will have to figure it out."

Well, that leaves me out. And I'm on a slow dial up connection so going to these other places is time prohibitive.

Now, here is something we did when we transferred files from our old Win 98 box to the current one after the second or third HD crash. We bought a large thumb drive that would work on both OS's then downloaded what we wanted to the drive. Then we took what we wanted off of that and put it on the newer box. We still use the thumb drive as a working updateable storage drive. If we have another HD failure we've still got our data.

Joe,
I have the old hard drive in a transfer box. The problem is the new Win8.1 computer. I was assured that the new computer would accept the transfer box but it doesn't.
Anyway, I figured out how to download my pic back to my computer so here it is. It looks really washed out in this pic but it is a lovely lavender shade.

Cari,

That is a purty machine. I like lavender and purple.
I have an ancient new home, here's some pics when I first got it:
{ http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...l-t187261.html } that I plan on repainting it a deep dark purple some day. It's a good sewing machine, sews great, just looks terrible.

The tendency for the worn out looking, or orphan machines as I call them, is usually to be the best stitchers. Everything my oldest DD owns is purple so if I were to paint one purple it would disappear. The only reason I still have the Sew Mor is because she knows it doesn't work.
