Antique Sewing Machines.........
Hi, I am so excited I just received my 1948 Singer Featherweight. Is there anyone who has one of these. I got numerous attachments etc. I can't wait to use it and would love to hear from people who use featherweights.

Ah, so you've joined the Featherweight club! I have 3, and enjoy them immensely. They are really handy for taking to classes, or traveling, or if you just need something that doesn't take up a lot of room. They stitch beautifully too.

My first featherweight is a 1947 and my next is 1950's... don't remember the exact year. I use my '47 all the time.... it does such nice stitches and I love to hear the 'click, click, click' as she sews. The scroll faceplate is so pretty and I leave it out all the time. ... and like so many others have said, it is light and easy to take with you for a class or just to sew with your buddies group. You're going to love yours, too. I'm so happy for you.
