I think the asking price of 150 is high, but at least there would be no shipping.

I don't see 201s often here. But most any Singer is not rare. I think they are asking too much also. For an general condition Singer treadle I usually will not pay more than $40.

It is only slightly rare as it is way more uncommon to find a treadle 201, than the potted motor 201-2

Still thinking on this one... Will likely call and see if they will come down some.

This is a pretty unusual bird in the States. Is that a knee bar lever in the photo? If so a Singer 1200 treadle and it looks like the 1200 table. These were marketed as "tailor's machines" by Singer

I am unsure, but I dont think so... I think that is the support for the drop leaf. I will call and go look at it. I posted another thread, i beleive this is actually a model "103"

I'd say no more than $75, if it works and sews right off the bat. If you need to do any adjustments to get it working, the price should drop substantially. Around here $150 is the going price for most industrial machines; the one you posted isn't technically an industrial, just a differently marketed 201.

Look at the stitch length adjusters and the second spool "bump"
I don't think it is a 201. see the link I posted on the thread about the 103.
Also I pay 30-50 dollars just to have a machine head mailed to me. A chance to get a decent treadle frame is worth something to me here in Alaska, but I still think it is high.

I agree that $30 to $50 is a good range. It isn't rare. The cabinet is worth something though. It keeps it off the floor and the furniture.

Yes, it does look like a 103. I really like it. If it wasn't to far from me I'd try for $75 and probably pay the $150 if I had too. Guess it depends on what your looking for----I've always wanted an industrial treadle. Guess I'd have to look into shuttles, bobbins, and needles too make sure there not obsolete.

According to ISMACS, the 103 is a rotary hook drop feed reversing Machine, and depending on the "dash" number uses either of two needles that are still available (16x231 or 126x3)
