any info on a Singer 621B ...
I just made my first purchase from ShopGoodWill.com....I paid $5.00 for this machine........of course the postage was another $21.00...........when it arrived and I got it out of the box, I find a large V shaped piece is broken off and is in the bottom of the case box.............happened in travel, not packed well enough...............
Anyways, it powers up, and all the stitches work.....so it seems to work just fine.....it is dirty/dusty.....
Does anyone know anything about this model? I thought it was a good purchase except that now it has this big old hole that can only be partially patched...some edges are missing on the broken part........daggone it......wonder what it would cost to get a new case for it and if it is worth that????

GW has been getting worse and worse about packaging machines. The last time we tried to file a complaint we ran into a dead end.
They REFUSED to accept responsibility even though the packaging was far below second rate. They blamed it on the shipper and told us to file a claim with them. We went all the way to corporate and basically got the brush off.
My wife has been told by an ex GW employee that there has a corporate re vamp recently and many of the older employees have been let go. This has been recent and the timing matches the attitude change we've seen.
File the complaint, send it back, contact the shipper; but be ready for the run around.
