Default Anyone know where I can find this part?

Hello all, new member here and glad to find you. I'm looking for a replacement feed dog knob for the Model 223 Singer Fashion mate. The little screw in it is stripped. The machine was manufactured in about 1963. Thanks, Merissa

That may be a tough piece to find. There were not a whole lot of the 223's made. They are the only Japan made Singer machine. My suggestion would be to start looking for a Japanese machine with a knob the same or similar to swap out. You could try the folks over at the Vintage Japanese machine Yahoo Group. Someone might even have an original knob or a 223 parts machine.

There are several 223 parts on ebay. You could try emailing the sellers to see if they have what you need....since they obviously had machines that they're parting out. It's worth a try.....

is it just a set screw that is stripped? Stick a bit of a tooth pic or some glue in there and quick tighten the screw down.

You may be able to try thread tape (plumber's tape) from Home Depot, Lowe's, any home supply store. I get it out of my husband's tool box.
