Bernina 1120
I have never bought a vintage machine, but this Bernina is being sold locally for a decent price and I am intrigued.
My first question is how do I find out if there is a 1/4" foot available for it?
Having recently bought a brand new machine, I know to take various samples to sew on.
I look forward to any help you can provide.
Many thanks,
Lynda

I have a Bernina 1020 and a 1530. They did make a 1/4" foot. The number is #37. You can check with a Bernina dealership to see if there are any still in stock or look on eBay.

There are two 1/4" presser feet for Bernina machines. #37 is a regular 1/4", and the #57 is the 1/4" with the guide -- it's a metal flange that you guide your fabric against. I prefer the #37, because you can't sew across a diagonal square with the guide, it kinda drags. The 1120 would take the "red box" with the forks at the top of the shaft.
It's a great machine!

This is a good source for buying parts and presser feet for various machines. I have ordered there a couple of times.
