Thanks for posting that - that is the serger I own (I was going to post on your other thread until you found out it was a different model)
It has been a workhorse for me with very little maintainance I am embarrassed to say. I recently bought new blades, the originals are still in use at this time. Hope your wife enjoys her new one!

Not being a "serger" person I was completely thrown by the explanation on how to use this fantastic machine. Thought to myself there is no way I could ever learn how to operate this machine. Then I read further and find that you actually have this machine and use it. Kudos to both of you!

I have always wondered about sergers but they just looked too complicated. Now I will be on the lookout for a good vintage serger. I have a bunch of research first to see which would be the best fit for me but now I know a little more about them. Thank you very much for the link.

I am still using my old Singer Ultralock from the 80's too. It's been totally reliable and pretty much problem free. I have two other sergers that are more sophisticated, but the simple Singer makes a better looking overlock seam. Hubby bought mine for me way back when, as a gift. It was a very extravagant gift for us at that time with our young family, but I have to say I've more than gotten the investment back out of it! Thanks for sharing the video.
