Blossom's Makeover
I purchased this machine at a thrift for $15.00 a while ago. It is a Wards Signature JHT J1277. I knew it was perfect for my lil sis if I could get it all fixed up. She asked for a simple machine easy to use and this one is just that plus it is known as the buttonholer so it will be great for clothing. I will be shipping it out to her next week! Here are the before and after pics.
The decals and paint I bought at Home Depot. The box of Signature accessories came from a member here ( thank you lmc8 they are like brand new!) I had to down load a manual, find a thread guide that we actually found on one of our parts machine. YAY! A little soap, water, oil, grease and viola' she is ready.
I named her Blossom because hopefully she will do just that at my sisters hands and become a very loved and integral part of her home for years to come.

Great job. I have a similar "Sears" machine that I am currently working on. I don't have the case. I like the decals. Do you find those in the paint department at HD?
What type of paint did you use on the case?
I'm sure your sister will love it.

Yes in the paint dept. I tried the Rustoleum 2X brand first that has the primer in the paint but I hated it and went back to Rustoleum Satin.
