Default Can I convert a hand crank to a treadle?

I've found a machine that I like for my bird's eye maple treadle cabinet. Regrettably, it's in a wood case w/a coffin top. Can I easily convert a hand crank to a treadle? Are the bases a different size?
    Thanks,
    Dolly

Dolly: The answer should be yes, but I'd like to ask a couple of questions before I finalize that.

    1. brand/make/model? (pictures are VERY helpful)
    2. how do you define easy?
