don't know if it is a New Home. I thought about JB-Weld but because it is an iron base it get's strain when lifted. I think the bolting process will work well

I need to do some research and figure out how the handle looked. This handcrank is different from ANY other one I have. I have 1881 to 1920 handcranks from 5 different makers, NONE like this. I will take pictures tonight. It has a weird connection to the handwheel....

Steve, did you make the armour in your avatar?
I wasn't being a smarta**. I know Steve has the capabilities, I genuinely want to see the repair. I didn't seriously consider bolting plates to it because I made the wrong assumption they would be thru the bed, not where they don't show underneath on the sides where Steve is planning. Also I assumed Steve wouldn't be satisfied with any repairs that left a visible crack. When it comes to structural repairs to cast iron I think of brazing, welding and silver solder for smaller areas first. I'm not a huge fan of epoxies for structural repairs to metal though in this case epoxy with a reinforcing plate out of sight on the bottom might work.

all valid thoughts, for sure. I certainly did not perceive any smartbuttedness...

I have seen it done through the bed, and it WAS my first plan. although i would mill the bolts to be 1/32" below the surface so paint and shellac could be reapplied.

I plan to make the crack as invisible as possible...

I may decide to add support plates epoxied across the underside of the split, depends on the flex i feel when bolted and painted (yes, the paint helps)

My coworker who loves to play with the mill suggested bottom plates with at least 6 holes on each side with micro screws tapped only 1/2 way into the bed iron... crazy man....

it looks a lot like my 3/4 size "Favorite" made by Standard. The easiest way to tell is look at the two holes in the slide plates, the attachment points are unique among MFG, and the Free/New Home used something similar in newer machines, it's not exactly the same as what Standard had.

Here is Standard's bed attachment points. The front has a round end.

and it's the same even for the early Rotary machines. On a side note, there is a Domestic named machine that is made with the later Standard Rotary model, it has a larger needle plate, but the same attachment points and is basically a Standard machine. I could be that Domestic contracted with Standard to make the machines and put thier name on them. They look nothing like the later Domestic Rotary machines. Hmmm - since Domestic had the contract with Sears - maybe yours is another "Standard made for Domestic" machine. . .

And Free/New Home. BTW - New Homes before the merge with Free have a different attachment setup.

I set out to collect one of each attachment type for my collection, so I don't have a wide range of random machines, I have very specific examples.
