Well Janey, if you're up for a post-gathering field trip ...! I'm an avid knitter too and just love that Fancy Tiger has both fabric and yarn. I need yarn. BWAAA!! HAAAA!! HAAAA!!!!!!!!

Any other knitters in the Colorado gang?

SUPER - did you get hand crank or attachment? or both? I'll try to remember to bring other blades --I just remembered somewhere I have samples of each on business sized cards -hmm wonder what I did with it.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Field trip to Fancy Tiger afterward?
I've never been there. It could be dangerous.

Janey, it is the hand crank type. Hand cranks on anything are cool and desirable! I remember cranking a machine that took kernels of field corn off the cob, for feeding the chickens, at my grandparents farm. I had to do that every time we visited.

Doesn't Fancy Tiger offer classes? Would they have a little classroom-type space that we could meet in? Or do we definitely want food involved? I'm thinking maybe that would be a good meeting space instead of Perkins (although I do love breakfast food). Maybe the store would like to support our little-but-growing group.
    Just a thought...

I'm also talking to JoAnn's about meeting space. I may know more this week. For now, let's go with Perkins. We can talk about other possibilities then. We can do Fancy Tiger (and maybe other places) later for those interested.

Between emails and this thread it's a little confusing. It will be helpful to new potential members to keep our plans posted here.

I look forward to this weekend.

Ooooh! I will so be there!

As a crocheter and yarn maker I would love a post Perkins visit to Fancy Tiger.

Also, if anyone has spare Davis Vertical Feed feet/attachments or a New Vertical Feed presser foot bar (mine came with a bent bar and I just can't quite get it fully straightened - works fine but squeeks) I'd be interested in acquiring them. And if anyone is interested in acquiring or simply admiring a National Two Spool I have one that would love to join the party.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pinker, I've never seen one in person!

The Perkins is located with a La Quinta Motel that is just south of I-25. It is located on Buchtel Boulevard. If coming from the north on I-25, Buchtel Boulevard is an immediate right turn after exiting I-25 to southbound Colorado Boulevard. If coming from the south, exit and go southbound on Colorado Boulevard, cross over the highway going south and merge to the right side for a right-hand turn onto Buchtel Boulevard. Look for the motel since it has larger signage.

Just a reminder I am so looking forward to tomorrow. I think that currently there will be about 6 or 7 of us. Would be nice if some others would like to join us.
