Default Coronado treadle sewing machine, vintage machine, mint condtion

I am looking for any information on a Coronado treadle sewing machine, I have a number of 3574186, I would like to know how to wind the bobbin and how to load the bobbin in the machine. I found a machine that looks like mine but the name on it is Leader? Thank you

A picture would help (we like pictures). I'm guessing that it may look something like http://wwwsrc.thriftyfun.com/_genera...?id=tf97193085 A picture of the bobbin winder would help, also. I think that if the bobbin winder is nearer the bed of the machine that the thread from the spool goes over to a guide on the face plate then diagonally over to the the lower part of the winder and then up through more guides to the bobbin. Many of the long shuttle bobbins are very similar and would give a general idea of how to wind and thread.

From what I've read, your machine would be a machine badged by Gambles Department Store. It more than likely was actually made by National Sewing Machine Company.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Yes Janey you're correct. Coronado machines were built by National until 1954 when National folded, then they were built by Brother.
