That's so nice of you to make the offer. This would just be MY opinion in response to the advertiser's claims..therse are NOT rare, it is not in great condition, it is not a "model G" (looks like a 66 to me), and 200.00 is far too much.
It all would depend on what someone is looking for in that area. They are common around here and much cheaper.

Yes, psychonurse, that is too much to pay for a machine like that, IMHO. But this comes from one who paid too much for a FW down in your neck of the woods last summer. It would be a good candidate for a hand crank, but my son only paid $10 for the one that we hand cranked, and it was OK cosmetically--that one has a good looking face, if it is still in good working order; it would depend on one's desire to own one "right now" or "wait awhile".....

It's a 66-1 Redeye. Probably from a treadle. 1 of 50,000 allotted September 17, 1918.
Nice machine, but not worth anywhere near the asking price. Wait a while, if the seller really want's it sold he / she will come down on the price.

Joe nailed it. The light and motor aren't original Singer. Most likely the machine was electrified and put in that case in the 40s. Not worth that in my area either. Singer 66s with the Red Eye decals are relatively common machines. Ones with decals in good shape are a bit harder to find but not hard enough to justify $200. $50 to $75 would be a more realistic price.

Like others have posted, $200 is way to high for that setup.
I did pay $200 to get a perfect condition Red Eye, but it came in a very nice open side parlor cabinet.
I paid less than $100 for this one in a bentwood case (I took the motor off and added the hand crank). And that was on eBay. This one is side clamp. This is an example of a Red Eye in very nice condition.

Thanks for the inform. like I said I don't collect and have no idea what is and isn't.
JoAnn, you should know my FW I loaned to someone to use, who had no sewing machine, had some domestic problems, and had to leave the home with out anything. Long story, but no one knows anything about what happened to my FW.
I saw a W/W machine today. Does anyone want to see pics? Where would you look for the serial number?
