    it was made in 1876 ? and the original belt. is that correct. belts back then never go bad it seems.nice machine btw.

    I seriously doubt that the belt is original. If it was, the color would have changed, I'm sure. I just put a new belt on one of my treadles this week, and it's the same color as this one. If that's the case, the store sold me a very old belt. LOL! It's a really cool machine, but a little too rich for my blood!
