A converted 66-1 treadle machine with an aftermarket motor, wiring and foot controller ................... Well, I looked and looked and looked and never saw the price, but if he's got it priced at $500 he's delusional. Or he's been eating way to many hot peppers or something.

How in the world do they formulate these prices? What are they smoking? Do your research. This is not a reasonable price. It is an okay machine, but you need to follow Ebay for a while to see what this machine is really worth. Remember you have to pay freight on top of the asking price or pick it up.
Make an offer from reality. See what he says. Maybe you don't want to go there........
Good luck.
