Default "Daisy" has arrived.... Painted roses VS2 - 1892

I was SO worried while this old gal was in transit.... I knew my Mom would pack it well, but UPS is always scary.

We did have two "injuries" in transit. The spool pin was bent a bit but that was an easy fix, and one of the VERY unusual hinges was broken. I will be able to fix it, but I will have to drive out the hinge pin to remove the remainder to do the repair, THAT will be after the event this weekend.

Without further delay her she is in all of her flowery glory as she arrived, before the 4 hours of very focus (readbsessive) cleaning.

The hand wheel is with me today at work and will be put on the lathe and polished.

notice the serial number stamp has been altered? I think it had to have been at the factory, no "value" add by making ten later in series...

This is called "Painted Roses" but it is because they had an artist paint the originals and then made decals from that.

Singer left the artists brush strokes and the like in the decals, so LOTS of folks think they are hand painted on each machine.
