Default Date for my Necchi-alco made in japan sewing machine, FE1111

Wow, my first sewing machine is likely going to the garage sale tomorrow. I have a price tag of $5 on it. Just doesn't seem right. Hubby bought me a new machine. This old friend was bought second hand in Bozeman Montana, used, over 30 years ago. Why can't I find a date for this machine?

Keep the Necchi. Even if only for a backup machine. My experience with the new machines is that you WILL need a backup machine.

Just remember to take her out every few months or so and run her, and an occasional oil ... just to keep everything in working order.

Though it isn't one of the classic Necchi machines, if you are only asking $5, I would keep it.

I have two machines, a Necchi and a Singer. The necchi is 58 years old and I would never get rid of it.
