Looks to me like a late 50s-early 60s machine, not much more I can tell you, sorry. Does it have a JA# underneath the lip or on the underside of it anywhere? Sometimes the manufacturer can be known by that #. I don't see a door for cams. The "Automatic ZigZag" badge should mean it's built in, doesn't need cams.

I like the old machine from the original poster too, more than seven years ago. A early machine with what I assume have to be sintered gears. By know they need oil though, something pure and long lasting, not too many additives and a bit thicker than the average sewing machine oil.

Mickey I think the original machine shown in this thread is one of the Chrysler/New Process Gear machines. Arguably the worst Kenmore ever made depending on who you ask. Not sintered bearings, some kind of nylon that even absorbed moisture out of the air. The trick to making these machines run right is climate control.
