    Macybaby - wow, just wow! I was wonder where you kept all your machines. I knew you had a lot, but I didn't realize the varity and true size of your collection.

    since my wife wouldn't let me bring all my 'friends' inside, this is how i display them. hopefully in time she'll have a change of heart...... i am a new member of this forum.

    Glad to help, I am just south of Oakland. I work off of 98th near the Oakland Airport and I live about 3 miles south of that. I do an open shop night on Thursdays for armor making, but if things are slow was can easily fit sewing machine stuff in ...

    Is that your Singer 16-188 I see in the background? Have you got it up and operating, or are you still working on it?

    yes. that's my 16-188 in the background and my 201-2 in the foreground. i got my 16-188 for technically free. the guy i got it from told me that it was working. i fixed, cleaned and oiled it and it's running smooth now when i manually spin it. i powered up the motor too and it's all good. all parts seem to be intact (crossed fingers). will see how it goes when i got the parts that i bought online (belt, bobbin plate, spool pin) to crank it up. i will keep you posted. thanks.

    PS: still need to rehabilitate my 201-2 cabinet as you can see from the picture.
