I had this happen to me, when I bought a black 301 last yr. It went to WA and the item I got was to go to someone in KS and the one that was supposed to go to WA went somewhere else. Any ways it all worked out for me and the lady in WA, but the guy in KS really screwed up. I got his $500 jones in bentwood case and shipped it to him and he was so mad he left it set in water and then shipped it back to the person who sold it. Talk about a jerk. the guy also had several aliases that he went by, when he bought stuff and he pulled shenangans. I felt sorry for the lady who sold it, because it was her dad's machine as was mine. Mine is now in a cabinet waiting to be used when I am done with work. Ebay and paypal are very good at settling disputes. I also had one that was not packed very good and came in pieces for part of it and it had been insured-- so I got the machine free (all my money for shipping and purchase price refunded) and got to keep the machine.

Thought I would update all of you on my ebay nightmare. My Necchi BU ended up in Japan of all places, can you believe it?? I couldn't. It was a case of misplaced mailing labels.

Well shipping costs from Japan prohibited me from ever seeing that machine. Hope that buyer is enjoying his Necchi.

The seller refunded my money immediately plus the cost of shipping the typewriter back to him. He was very sorry that this happened and really did everything that he could, mistakes happen.

But I don't think I will buy another machine from eBay for a long time, but I won't say never.

Thanks for all your help when I needed it.

    Susan
