The interesting thing about this cabinet is the legs can be removed. So with judicious packing the ensemble could be shipped. Would cost a fortune but it would be do able.
Here in central IL, I really haven't found many good buys. Some, but not much. 90% of what I have has come from other states or from a road trip to other parts of IL.

had a doctors appointment this morning. Was pretty decent, i'm improving. Dr is a korean guy in his late 20s and sharp as a schmetz needle. Bent and twisted me in all directions. About twisted my head off checking my neck. But he seems to be satisfied in my progress so i won't complain.
After the dr visit my wife said "lets go look at that sewing machine i saw at good will yesterday."
i said: "what are we waiting for?"
the machine turned out to be a singer 66-16 in a small cabinet with a tiny center tilt out drawer.
The machine, 1 of 15,000 allotted 2-13-56 is almost mint. No needle rash. No rust. No scratches, no major ones anyway. No missing parts ... It even has it's slide plate and a bobbin. Nothing broke, nothing bent. The white paint on the stitch length lever is unmarred as well.
The only thing that might bother some folks is it's got a newer green cord and controller. Ugh.
No manual or accessories either, but i can get those if i want to.
The cabinet isn't as good as the machine, but it's no where near as bad as some i've got / had.
And yes, here is some pics:

i haven't tested it yet, but i will in bit.
Oh yeah, we only paid $20.00 and tax for it. Not too shabby me thinks.

Joe, glad to hear you are doing better and nice find! I have that same cabinet too. It was in terrible shape though. We took it apart and put it in storage. I am not sure we will ever fix it but thought we might need some parts someday. Mine had a godzilla finish 66-16 on it. It was listed locally for $20.00 but was missing the slide plate and light and the cabinet was rough. The lady just wanted it gone so she gave it to me. I cleaned it up and it sews great.
