The last date of Patent on the ruffler is Sept, 14, 88. In the box under the tucker instructions it says Johnston Ruffler Co with a last Patent date of August 11, 85. All the parts say New Home so now I gotta find a machine head. I'm not sure which cutout your referring to but there's nothing round on any of the plates.

I've found that most of the New Home attachments do say "New Home" on them so that makes it easy. And they will fit any older New Home VS machine. If it has a top clamp adapter, just remove it and the ruffler will slip in place.
What I mean by "round" is the cutout on the end of the two slide plates. White and Davis (and a few others) have flat ends (no cutout) a few have an quarter oval cutout as the needle plate is oval, and some (like yours) are a quarter circle cutout, because the needle plate is round. There are a few others too, Demorest has a square notch.
There are several machines that have the round cutout, but other things are different. I've got one set of slide plates (shirr and underbraider) that I don't have a machine that they fit. I think it's going to be an early Eldredge, but until I find one, I'll not know. The plates are the right width for National, but the round cutout is for a needle plate that is a bit more offset than National machines.

When I say "older New Home" I mean one made before Free or Janome had the name. It's got to be an original New Home, but it does not have to be near as old as the attachment set - as they measure the same. I've got got a Model A and a Model T3 (much newer) and the attachments fit them both.

OK Now I understand. I'll be on the lookout for a new machine but I may have to take a road trip to get it at a price I can afford. Most folks around here are trying to make the mortgage payment on a "New Home" by selling sewing machines.

BTW - they will fit one like Quilter53 just posted
And one that looks like this (the one in the back is a New Home Rotary, so the slide plates won't fit - but everything else will).
and one that looks like this
in fact, this is what it looks like
This is what I mean about the "stepped" presser bar. Even if it comes with a top clamp adaptor - when you take that off, this is what you'll see.
