The R-W77 is very lightweight - plastic with metal components. There's a very durable attachment called " Tracing Embroiderer" and also know as "SD-05". It is also a pantograph style attachment (but big and heavy). I don't know if it would fit all sewing machines. I recently bought the SD-06(Elna Sewpy - another version) but it arrived broken. It looked like it was for a specific machine though. Maybe the SD-05 is worth investigating if you are looking for something more substantial or with a larger embroidery area. However, this little attachment is easy to store and easy to move while it is on the machine. It gives an embroidery area of about 8cm across (3 inches). Takes a single layer of cotton in the hoop (about 18cm across is the sample I used yesterday).I'll attach photos of their boxes to give an idea of size comparison between the 2 different attachments.
