    Think I will name her Heather Locke, my grandmother's maiden name was Locke and her family originated in Scotland. Thank you for all the kind posts!

    Beautiful machine in very good condition. She was commissioned on February 21st 1949, link here for dating and finding model numbers - http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html. You can look at the ISMACS Site for free. Singer used to have the same info on their site but took it down in 2011 for some reason.
