I was given a 221 Feathweight, but it has no Bobbin Case. Any ideas on where to find a vintage one, as I have heard the new ones are not good. Thanks for your help.

You might ask on the Vintage machine site, or try sew-classic for one.

    Try April 1930s

    http://www.april1930s.com/html/singe...bobbins__.html

While she no longer carries the replica Featherweight bobbin cases, you can send her an Email to see if she has a an original from a parted out machine. Her's originals are pricey though at $89.95.

Sew Classic http://shop.sew-classic.com/Bobbin-C...-SCBC45751.htm carries the replicas and each and everyone that she sells has been tested in a sewing machine and is guaranteed to work. Her price for the replica is $39.95.

I have done business with both sellers.

They are found on EBay. I believe the 301 uses the same bobbin case, and might be found for less since it doesn't have the same vanity cachet markup.

Ebay is probably the best place for an original fw bobbin case. Enjoy your fw.

I have 5 or 6 friends that have Featherweights, I was thinking about making them tote bags with am embroidered featherweight machine on it. It would be fun for them to take their things class.

That is a nice idea, I bet they would love that. I was looking for the Featherweight applique but haven't found it yet. Someone posted a link but it wasn't there any more. I'm overly excited today. I have a black FW and my white one is out on the truck today. (boingy, boingy)

    Cool Yes ma'am!

I love my featherweight and need to take her out more. Got some tension problems to fix with her but she is sweet. I've got her case and all accessories that came with her. Love that old smell!
