My dad found a FW at a yard sale about 4 years ago and didn't pay very much for it. My hubby knew I wanted one so paid my dad a fair price for it and gave it to me for Christmas this year. It is a 221 and was "born" in 1956, I have named her Ruthie, my mom's middle name. She always wanted a g'daughter named after her but never got one so.....she gets a "grandmachine".

I have a very dear friend who has bought several Featherweight sewing machines. Her husband cleans and repairs all machines and keeps a supply of belts and other accessories needed for repairs. If anyone is interested, please contact Nancy at [email protected].

I have one that I received when I was 14 (69 now). Year ago my parents tried to sell it and the card table at a moving sale and . . no one wanted it. When I found out, I grabbed it back real quick. I had forgotten all about it and had stored it in their attic for years. Still runs like a dream. I use it a lot for piecing.
