I have been noticing there are more 222's available for sale than ever before. There are even some lower, more reasonaby priced ones (less than a thousand dollars). I think the difficult economic times are bringing alot of interesting machines to the market.

I've noticed that too. In fact, I bought one for $800 from some people in England, but since then I've seen several on ebay for a similar price. They really are quite rare as they were only made in Europe.

Well, after struggling to get my new FW going, I found a wad of nasty dark oily old thread wrapped around behind her hook assembly. After I got it out, she shows great!! Here she is...I haven't cleaned her much yet, but want you all to see her. Name? She hasn't told me yet!!

She's a pretty little girl, with a new home, with someone to care about her!

I got mine on ebau and it is totally awesome. It has all of the attachments and the only thing that is out of kilter is the bobbin winder. I think I can handle that little problem or maybe my dear husband can solder it or something.

I would like to introduce you to Annie Merle she was born in 1948. I have named her after my mum who passed in 2000, she taught me to sew in grade 3 on a green Singer. Annie was serviced at my local sewing center and while she has seen many miles of fabric and thread as can be seen by the scrapes and worn decals - I am confident she has many more left in her. I have sewn some dryer sheet scrappy quilt blocks and it was pretty cool.
In the background is the Featherweight manual I downloaded off the internet, and a binder of projects waiting to be started.

I have one that I got off EBAY. Made my 2nd grandson a stingray costume for his last day at school and his older brother wanted a small quilt and to learn how to sew. Grandma helped him make a muscle car quilt with a matching pillow. still waiting for DD to send me the pics so I can post them on the board. Haven't named her yet. born in June 1948. In New Jersey.
