I would love to have a 301 long bed. I have a short bed 301 and love it, but they are not quite the same as the little featherweight machine.

I have a white featherweight and 3 black ones...all in great condition, complete with cases, etc. Love them and I'm always looking for another one.

After talking about trying to find one, my husband surprised me with one he won on e-bay. Needed a tune up but now it runs like a top. What I like about it is, I can sew with it on the dining room table and it is quiet enough that my husband does not find it distracting while watching tv.

then 2 days later i called around and found 2 at one shop, bought them. then i saw a 222 on e-bay and bought it. my tax refund is gone and then some! all in one week.they all sew but i have not had time to clean and polish them up. the 222 was sold in france and the book and paperwork is in french!

I have a hand-cranked machine from my mother. Does that qualify as a featherweight?

I just received my featherweight and posted yesterday her picture, carring case and accessories. April was born 10/14/53. I sent her out to be repaired and cleaned, oil etc. I hope to test drive her today.

Those are awesome sewing machines. Maybe start a new thread to see who all have slant shank Singer 301s. They are the big sister to the Feather Weights. Many people are now starting to look for them.

I use a slightly beat-up FW that belonged to my stepmother. She wasn't much of a sewer/housekeeper, but she was very kind to a half-wild teenager

I have a 1950 featherweight with a case, original book and a box of 8 attachments. I traded with an antique dealer for a wicker doll carriage and a composition doll that came with it. The carriage had a hole in the hood and the doll was not in good condition. I paid $45.00 for them over 20 yrs. ago.
