You can also keep an eye on www.shopgoodwill.com. I've seen (relatively speaking) lots of white FW's on that site. As well as plain old black ones.

I lucked onto one, rather my son did at the Goodwill Store here in North Central Florida. White, manufacture date in 1954, with the original inspection sticker still on the front of it, white, and in MINT condition -- it was marked $50, had the foot control and electrical was in great shape, but it had no case. Having been a sewing machine mechanic for 14 years, he decided Mom had to have that one! At first, because I was sick, I didn't realize what he'd gotten! WOW! I'm sure glad he got it!

I saw one at a local Salvation Army store last year for $550...firm. Nothing special about it other than the color, no carry case, manual, accessories, not even a needle or presser foot. I figured somebody wanted a big tax write-off and gave them that price.
