Default Final addition to the collection, yeah!

My last child in my collection of vintage Singers. Decided the featherweight will be best for the collection rather than the Singer 27. Eyed it on Craigslist for the past four weeks and they finally came down to what I was willing to pay. Now to have some fun with "Baby Oakcliff".

Glad you were able to get it. How about a photo of the entire collection?

Oooh, it looks great, what a find.

I think model 27 and the early VS2 is very intersting with the vertical shuttle. I have a friend who swear her 28 gives better top stitching than any of her machiens, and she has several. Another friend of mine says her 27 feels stronger and sturdier than her 201 and 15. A 201 is my sturdiest model. There are a few early swing needle zigzaggers that's very intersting, I could not resist them if one turned up, as well as some German fancy stitchers from the early to mid 1950s. This collection thing seems to never end for me.

hehehe - how long do you think "final" will last?

I thought I was there with my Singers long ago, and I keep finding ones that I want to add . . . and they are all different in some way.

I'm up to around 50 Singers, and have even more non-Singer machines.

You echo my DH Macybaby. But, I am determined to walk away from the deals when found - walking away from 5$ for 201-2 in good condition is really hard...or any that says FREE. Must break the addiction, LOL!
