Hey korak & steveh
We are 'a few good men' here. I myself wasn't dragged as I've been kicking the sewing machine treadle since I was 12 and the machine has been screaming for me since then. I dragged my wife into sewing but not into antique machines yet. Nice machine you both have there. Welcome korak.

Not sure about the weight. I'll check when we get home. My machine is now on the "to be sold/traded" pile now. Neat but not something we will be using either for the shows or for projects.

Here's one http://www.ebay.com/itm/251477486902?_trksid=p2048036. If I wasn't in Australia I'd be on it!! LOL

These are actually a little smaller than Featherweights and the mechanics are NOTHING like a featherweight.
(granted, I have big hands)

I'm in the market for one of these -and they take the Standard attachments too. I believe they are made by Standard to be sold by GE - after Standard was bought by Osaan. BTW - Singer bought Osaan some time after that.
