This is a great thread! I learned how to sew on my grandmother's Pfaff 332 - some day I'm either going to inherit that one (my aunt has it now) or I'm just going to have to buy one off of ebay. That was a TANK and it worked really hard - my grandma probably used it every day - every fabric item that family owned (including clothes for 4 kids) was made by her. Plus it handled the use and abuse that I put it through learning how to sew!

Charlee - I've seen the pictures of your cleaned Kohler on your blog. Any chance you can post some pics here - it's looking really great!

I have finally done a Youtube video of my most gorgeous machine, a Vesta Transverse Shuttle circa 1936. The video is a shameless ad for my blog. Here is a close up of the decals - five colours in all - two shades of red, turquoise, green, yellow and gold. It is the only machine I have that is too beautiful to use.

Muv, I got a Kohler Monday night and found your Vesta video last night. I hope you are still here, I know this thread is 4 years old. Vespa is an Italian motorscooter. Maybe that's where the Italian thought came from. Thanks for all your detailed clear pictures and video.
