I need to grumble about something.
If you list a machine on CL in the middle of garage sale type listing (Everything must go! Priced to move! recliner, couch, kitchen supplies, vintage sewing machine) and someone contacts you about it. Don't assume they are going to offer you top dollar if you don't know what you have. "NO! It's worth more than that!"
Then research the machine, make a listing for just it, set a price, take a picture.
    /grumble

(I know, I know.. it's craigslist. Still, I needed to grumble.)

Used the term rare because she couldn't find one like it - I gave her a link to QB - a member purchased one almost exactly like hers in awesome condition for $30.00. Hopefully she will get her head out of the clouds.

I found a really cute Singer cabinet on CL today, well it would be if they didn't mess up the finish. It comes with 15-91 - they want $225. Too much for me!

Did see a lot of over priced machines, like this one:
    Singer Industrial Zig-Zag Sewing Machine - $950
    http://rochester.craigslist.org/bfs/4223612165.html

and a couple of ones that are tempting:

Antique Singer Sphinx foot crank sewing machine - $60 (Love the 'foot' crank!)
    http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/4227761733.html

    401 with a case - also $60

The cabinet on the 15 just looks sanded to me.

You can see the original finish on the top. They really ruined it.

but at least they're not charging extra for shipping!!
I watched this thinking there was an entry error made, but it has been re-listed at the same price.

i emailed the guy the last time around and sarcastically asked him about the price and told him he must be joking or been drinking.
