Ok, I have to confess here... I was asked at the Kinetic Carnivale last weekend if there was a way to make a treadle powered "float" for the parade for next year. This might work with some redesign...

I am. The first decision, can it be "stock" or should I make a drive wheel that is the same size and fit but made like a bike gear. (for use as a chain drive, because I am afraid that leather belt slippage on the road would not be good)
