If anyone in the Puget Sound region wants a Morse, these are really good machines:

This one's in great shape, too.

"Antique sewing machine and antique machine for sale."

I wonder which picture is of the sewing machine, and which one is of the machine?

from the title I was really looking forward to seeing what that machine looked like...

I have the same ironing board...I dumpster dived for that one. And I burned up the motor on the Sunbeam Mixmaster that had been my grandma's. Prices seem a tad high...especially the sewing machines.

If it wasn't for finances I'd be after the Morse. I like the color combo on that one. It's probably better that I pass anyway. I have literally months of projects lined up just getting the machines I have running and looking decent. The money would be better spent on parts and supplies. I'll try to remind myself of this next time I see a machine I want.

Were I interested and since it's OBO, if the ad is still up in 2-3 days I would write them and say if no one has made an offer, I'd give them $25 for it and offer to pick it up that day (or whenever is convenient for them). This looks like a seller that wants to be rid of the machine.

This machine came in at least two versions. I have both examples, one that's identical to the CL listing above and this one:

The differences are subtle but interesting such as the brand badge and the 3 vs. 2 feed dog buttons. These are nice machines, very smooth. I love the styling: fins, the big 'M' knob, chrome hand wheel, the windowed length dial, and the smokestack buttonhole button on top.

Beautiful cabinet. I wouldn't even know how to go about stripping the machine.

I saw that one and thought about posting it, too. Soul-crushing. And it's a Jones.

If I were closer I'd have that Jones machine and treadle stand. The icky paint should come right off.
