    I have a friend who has this and a Portman. They don't sew worth beans but they are conversation starters.

    I'd go for the 201 in Skagit first. That's one of Singer's nicer tables that it's in. I like the looks of the MW machine. I'm not 100% certain but I think they take an odd needle.

    I have a couple of these waiting for work. Both of mine are green and go by other names..one is a "Portman", the other I think called Compaq? I just picked up the second one for 5.00 last weekend. They are cute little things.

    Wow! If its condition is good, you got a great deal. They're very nice machines. Mine were $35 (standard Singer table with the pull-out tray drawer) and $60 (Deco #42 desk with the rounded door). I've seen 201s in our area for $400.
