An interesting electrification of a treadle machine.

I've seen that setup a couple times now. I want one, but then I want everything. I don't think it's quite the treasure the seller thinks it is though.

Can't be bothered now, today my mom found a black shorty 301 in almost pristine condition. I just couldn't walk away.

    Okay, you asked for it.

That's a beauty! Your mom has a good eye. That's the other machine I still kick myself over. When I started this sewing machine addiction I passed on a black one just like it in the cabinet for $50.
I keep telling myself it was the right decision at the time but I haven't seen one as nice for the same money since.

I thought I remembered someone saying they would like a 15-125, unfortunately I don't remember who.

I have one - it came like that... I wonder if that was an option from Singer? It is a Singer motor and it swings away if you want to treadle. Mine looks barely used.

This one has a lot of features I like.

Bentwood case, swing away HB motor, foot shaped controller and the decals are in good shape.
I thought it was a badged White at first but the cover plate says Mason.

Rodney - STOP THAT!!!! I guess it's good I don't live in an area that has a plethora of vintage machines.

BTW - A.G. Mason is a badged White. There is some interesting history between AG Mason, Domestic and White. It does appear that early on AG Mason may have mfg some VS machines for White - but at some point they ended up as a White subsidiary, and finally it appears they are just another Mfg name that White sold machines under, maybe to help keep the "White" line separate from the "badged" machines. It does seem that the White machines with other names on them are often stamped as AG Mason Mfg. Well, other than the Domestic line. That's mostly speculation on my part, just from bits and pieces I've read here and there . . .
