Gee you all are killing me with envy!! I think those machines are sooooo cute especially the Singer gingerbreads and the Priscilla - she is adorable!! If I lived closer to the west coast I would be seriously in a lot of trouble because there seems to be such nice machines there! DD lives in Florida and she doesn't find ones that look as nice as that Singer posted in the ad.

That's funny since i keep running into REALLY nice machine in Florida. There are two collectors there who are selling of their collections a bit at a time on CL and Ebay...

It seems like the grass is always greener elsewhere. I look at Shopgoodwill and see really great machines at giveaway prices in places like Indiana and think I would like to shop for machines in the Great Lakes and Midwest, maybe the East Coast too because it's been settled for so long.

Rodney - notice the round needle plate - so that means it's not a White as they are like the Davis with a retagular plate (not counting the Singer 127 copies that White/Domestic made in the later years) . Though the style is very much like the early Whites that take the boat shuttle. And so far, I've not seen any White made machine with a top leaf tension. Not seen any Singers with it either . . . would love to know if there are some.
That one is a Florence made machine, I have one like it. It takes it's own style shuttle but take the same needle as the earlier Whites.

This is the machine style I'm still missing for my "Boye Shuttle Collection". It was made by Eldredge before they became National - notice the base shape, and more importantly the picture showing the needle/slide plate configuration. So far this is the only machine I've seen with the needle plate shaped that way, square on the bed side and rounded on the slide plate side. It was sold under several names, not just Eldredge so it make searching for it a bit harder.

Both of those are good looking machines. Thanks for the info on the Florence made one. I knew it wasn't White but that was as close as I could get style-wise. I'm not familiar with most of the pre-1900 machines. I don't see them often enough. I like the skinny pillar on the Eldredge. Very dainty looking. I know I haven't seen any like it anywhere near me.
