    I think I'm ok - deep breaths.. I don't have room.. I don't have room......(sigh)
I'd find room - oh wait, I already did. And then I found the slightly newer version (stout) and had to find room for that one too. Standard typically have neater than average treadles.

It went for about 10x what I'd have thought its value. Scam of some description?

It's in great shape but it's still just a 99. I don't get it either.

That Standard is a complete steal at $30. It's beautiful and in great shape!
I think I would want to make room too.

I was surprised at the bidding also - at first I thought it was auction fever and a newbie bidding but the final winner has lots of 'wins' and isn't a newbie.

It did have an older "Manual of Family Sewing Machines" by Singer

It's a hand crank and has a bentwood in great shape...? Yeah, I'm puzzled, too.

Even seasoned buyers can get carried away when they really want something. But really, what did he see that we don't?

I have to confess that when I see common machines go for unreasonable amounts at these auctions, I suspect shill bidders are involved.

This one's more my speed, though I've always been partial to the -90:

And as for speed, it's only a .5 amp. That can be easily changed, though.

He's doesn't know what he has but he knows it's worth 100.00. Or is it 125.00? I'm confused. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/for/4732677669.html

Looks like he's selling a cabinet as well, for $25, but this one's probably a portable (15-91?).
