Here's a Featherweight in New Jersey. It's in questionable condition - very worn decals - but might be an opportunity for someone. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/atq/4787878291.html

I know it's old and neat looking, that's about it. I have no idea of value on this one.

It's pretty enough to make me wonder if those are replacement decals. Also I don't know when Singer came out with that style treadle but it looks considerably newer than what I would expect under a lotus. Either of those would be a deal breaker to me for that sort of money. Lotus machines aren't common in this market, especially ones in good condition. An all original machine in perfect condition MIGHT be worth it to the right buyer.

Rodney a lotus here on the west coast is more common than you might think. I just posted a C/L add for one in the proper stand thinking it was $20.

If you blow up the pic and lighten it of that $475 thing. you'll see the color is very washed out and flaking off. Those stands were in the 30's to 40's not sure of the extact.

That seller is one of those experts that says 15-91 and 201's have all steel gears LOLOL.. guessing he never cleans one well enough to look in there

that 201 is a price you can't turn down. the other not real sure what that is. someone in kelso has adds often and there always hi priced. or a little over the norm.

Right now imported sewing machine are like English clocks & furniture in the 70's

Here's the latest lotus. decals may not be as nice, but it has the correct stand. at a $455 price difference , I'd suffer

I've only seen a handful of good ones. That one in the Salem CL isn't too bad. I should probably be happy it's not closer. This way I'm not as tempted. The finances and decent places to put them aren't there for me to acquire more machines and I still need to get the others I already have in running condition.

Oh, it is a VERY good thing that I have spent the morning moving heavy sewing machines, or I would be on the road to New Jersey this minute. Parlor cabinet, Singer 15 with Tiffany decals - $50!
