Always buy from an informed seller.

Don't know that seller is informed but nice colors on the machine. Looks like my 2 tone Adler.

I don't necessarily like the sculpture and I find more value in original parts for restoring antiques but at least there's some creativity and work there. Not like the hacked up and repainted stuff we see all the time.

I'm sort of OK with it when all of the stuff is beyond repair but I suspect that's not the case.

Am I missing something here? I just don't see that kind of money for this machine.

High end sergers are still kind of rare to buy second-hand. This one also does coverstitch. And I would not be surprised to find out this one still has a high trade in value at a sewing machine shop. . .wait what did I just say? I am an idiot always having to read things to know them. (How does Miriam say it, "bang head here"? In my friends groups the same idea is "/headdesk".) So THAT is why people bid and buy on the fresh new electronic machines. A starting bid is a small gamble but it might be worth more as a trade-in against the cost of a better machine the person likes!

You obviously haven't priced Babylocks lately, lol. That is probably less than half of what it cost new and it's also not that old, could still be a current model.

So it's not as unreasonable as I thought.
    I'll keep that in mind.
I like this one except someone removed all the badges.
