Transformers...a sewing machine that converts into a desk. (And it is a 301 black shortbed!)

I think this is a 15-90, but thought I would see what others thought. The seller says it might be a 301 , but I have no idea how he came up with that. Price is good.

It is a model 15 for certain.

Very interesting W&W. I'm sure that's the first refurbished one I've seen too.

WIChix, did you go and get it! I'm broke for another month, so no new sewing machines in my future. Next month is the Quilt Expo here in Madison. and I have a machine getting a spa treatment at Sew Restored. but I will catch up...

I suppose I have a Transformer. And it is a 301A. When the machine is in its drawer, it looks and performs as a desk. My computer is on it now, but if the machine is on top, recessed into the top, I can still use my computer. I have put "stilts" under the monitor to see it better sometimes.

Wilburness, no, I didn't. Would like too, though. I am 4+ hours north of Milwaukee.

Yes, Mavis, those transformer "machines" are awesome!

Truly an ugly paint job, and the machine doesn't look too good either!

I know I am in the minority, but I kind of like that paint job. If color on wood makes a person happy to have and use that wonderful vintage machine...then I say go for it. I do wonder why they didn't bother to show the front of it, although from the looks of the room it was just too packed.
