    The "low boy" is their own marketing term as far as I know. the design is for a treadle where the drawers boxes mount to the top of the irons. (Cost cutting measure that saved them a lot of money on expensive cast iron)

    Yeah, goofy price!

    Now that is one ad with no photos of the machine that does not bother me.

    No giggling from me this week as I missed out in two weeks' time on a $40 portable -and- a $20 cabinet White 77. The amount of overcompensating buying of other things I want less I have been doing has been ridiculous.

    Hmmm- Maybe I should call my son in Atlanta and tell him I found what I want for Christmas. . . though I've no idea when I'll be down there again . . . However, I really want an 8, not an older one (but they are SOOOO neat looking!)
