However I would have bought the NEEDLE CRAFT clone, I love that color.
I would have run like crazy from the DRESSMAKER, that machine design is JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Miriam had two or three, I had one and none of them were worth much more than boat anchors.
The NEW HOME 29 stitch most likely would have stayed for someone else too. It's probably got plastic gears and other parts inside and I just can't accept that.
But you can tell us how it sews in a report, can't you?

Like a professor once said, "It's great that we don't all think alike and like the same things." Makes for a more diverse and enlightened society.

I usually like the cam machines vs the camstacks - especially the plastic ones. But that Dressmaker is totally junk. I like the cams because the machines are much simpler over all. I guess you can't go wrong with an old Kenmore or the older Singers.

Miriam, I sure agree with you there, but sometimes these things just follow you home. Usually it's because they're all metal, and have some new feature that caught my eye. My biggest aggravation, that I almost want to give up on, has a short cam stack, but they're all metal. If I didn't like the looks so much, it would be a parts machine, it's a Brother Model 764, that came with a service manual (there's a warning sign!). I have taken apart and reassembled the zigzag assembly so many times, I do it in my sleep, literally...
