    Colleen,
her serial # was assigned June 1921. I see you have a 66 with the lotus pattern. That's my next machine hunt. Lol.

That is one beautiful machine. Guess the owner wasn't into sewing much or those decals wouldn't be in such good shape.

So, let me see if I followed this right, you gave one to be given to someone's young girlfriend, and then a year later got to get a much nicer one because someone's young girlfriend insisted on it? A good reward for a good deed.

LOL! What a great synopsis! I had not viewed it from that particular perspective and I love it! You are spot on. Thank you.

My dream is to be able to find a "Red eye" in good condition but it will be very difficult in my area but I keep looking on eBay but the cost of transportation to Canada is extremely high. I can hope though. Your machine makes me green with envy. It truly is a beauty.

I think that's one of the prettiest Red Eye's I've ever seen, except for one for sale listed on the internet -- but that one was priced at about $300-$500, and I had to laugh when I saw it! It was in good shape, but it was not original -- it had been repainted, new decals, etc. Great looking machine and cabinet! Congratulations on your find! Wow!
