    Thank you so much for your help. I will be careful cleaning it. Have used water and a soft cloth on the machine. Silver polish on the silver plate gently. Bees wax on the cabinet. If I am doing something wrong please tell me. I found it at a wonderful used store that buys out estate sales. I paid 125.00 for it . I hope that is a good price I just fell in love with it. Linda

    You stole it !!!!

    Keep the water away. Sewing machine oil and a soft cloth is much better.
