Default Guarantee Bond the Free sewing machine Co.

I haven't seen this on here before so I thought I would post it. Mr. Free was very generous in his guarantee, you would never see anything like this now days. I you can't read it very well let me know and I will type it out.

I have a Free model CE. After using that machine I can understand how the Free company could issue such a warranty.

Too bad the company is long gone.

If we Americans would make a fine product with this kind of warranty we would not be in the bind we are now with China. Oh how I wish!!

How cool was that! How could they guarantee the needle? Wouldn't every needle (and belt) eventually wear out or break?

You better hang onto it. There will never be a bond like that ever again without a string attached.

    Skip,
After WWII our government rebuilt the Axis powers to the detriment of our own industry. To compete our industry had to go to the disposable cheap products .... or so they thought.

I agree with you though, "Oh how I wish".

    Mavis,
It's the same thing as car parts makers giving life time guarantees on break parts and other things. The number of people who actually take advantage of the gimmick is relatively low. But for those who do, .... oh happy days

What a warranty! We also have a General Electric Fridge that we bought in 1952. Still runs good and is so cold!
