Cool Happy Me - looking at a Featherweight after work

I'm super excited. I found a Featherweight on my local craigslist and have made an appointment to look at it after work :-). Fingers crossed that it works! I've been wanting one for years. I've already got a 301a that sews great, a Singer FashionMate 237 from the 60's, and a 15-91 (?) that I need to have the wiring checked before I sew. I love vintage Singers.

    Happy sewing!

I gave my granddaughter a Singer 401A and kept the 237.

I felt a little guilty keeping the easier one to use - but not THAT guilty.

Good luck with getting a FW!

Score! I tested it out and it sewed. I'm naming it Louise - my maternal Grandma, Dorothy Louise. My 301 is named Dorothy after her as well. I'm so happy to join the Featherweight club :-).

I'll take one tonight. I didn't get to use Louise last night as I had to finish hemming something for a friend and needed my blind hem stitch. I'm so looking forward to using her!
