Default has anyone here Fully dis assembled a white FR?

I have decided to completely strip this white... not sure of the year or model, but I am having problems with the rotary hook shaft, Can any one tell me what is going on here ?
two pictures first is just a general over view so you can see where/what I am working on
second is the problem... it appears to be a set screw and a "roll" pin.. but it is a Solid pin not a roll and notice it does not appear lined up .. as if it does not go all the way through

Any thoughts ?

I have one that will probably get a repaint but it's going to be a while before I start.
It does look like the hole was drilled at an angle. My guess is so that the parts can only go together one way. Pretty clever, really. Other options to keep things from being put together backwards probably would have cost more time and money. I've torn into one White Rotary and I'm impressed with how solid of a machine they are.

Rodney, Nope it is not one pin clear through at an angle.... it is two partially through and offset. one of mine wiggled out with vice grips one broke off.... filing and drilling are in my future ugh.

Now a member and posting, it takes time away from reading. I'm working on a similar machine and am curious how you are doing with the bobbin drive? I noticed the pins you pointed out. Two Whites that are here, with identical mechanisms, don't have any pins. Curious.

Thanks for getting back on the other thread.
