Go to the VINTAGE MACHINE section here on the board and ask Charlee or Billy.

If you get another grease other than the Singer brand find Tri Flow Pure Synthetic lube. It will not gum up and melt the gears of the machine.

Here is a link that you can order it from:

I would tell the owner that I do not shop where people tell me what I can have, and not give me what I want.

Ha, a few years ago I walked into a Janome/Brother dealer to buy a small portable machine. The owner said I didn't want that machine! She said it was piece of crap and she wouldn't have it in her store. I said but it's the one I want to buy, can you order it. She refused to order it, tried to sell me another model. I told her I wanted the other one. She got mad at me! I left and ordered it online. I found out later she told anyone that wanted the less expensive machines they were were no good and would not last. She only wanted to sell the more expensive machines. She filed bankruptcy not long ago. LOL.

I have been told that I can use petroleum jelly. So far the machine is still running.
